Hello and welcome to Clifton Forge!
Do you suddenly find yourself fighting off the urge to chase after helpless forest animals? Or perhaps you get all twitchy and restless close to a full moon? Then maybe, just maybe... you're a werewolf. It's totally fine that you're suddenly smelling strange urine over here or..over there. Chasing after pigeons and squirrels at the park is perfectly natural. We only ask that you shower after getting caught in the rain. No one enjoys the smell of wet dog...no one.

Your werewolf lead as of writing this is:
ᴘᴀɪѕʟᴇᴇ ʀᴇᴅʜᴀᴡκ (paisleekleinfield)
You may forward any queries to them or staff members regarding your class (you can find other admin/staff listed on the board in the landing point.)
Please note: These leads are OOC only. Here in Clifton Forge, we like to encourage character interaction to establish clans and lead positions. It is for the players to do so, and we encourage all the world-building, politics, enmities and friendships such interactions may involve. Vie for that 'throne,' we dare you!
Presently there are two Alphas in Clifton Forge ruling over one established pack. Your current Alphas are ᴘᴀɪѕʟᴇᴇ ʀᴇᴅʜᴀᴡκ (paisleekleinfield) and Max Holden (zander titanium).

For the most part the werewolf community in Clifton Forge is fairly quiet, and low key...some might even say secretive. After your arrival in Clifton Forge it may take some investigating to even suss out that there are any around.
Secrecy goes without saying. If you were raised with a pack or taught by your mentor/maker, they should have told you how important it is to keep what you are a secret or risk putting entire werewolf populations in danger. No one wants to be responsible for that, right!?
It is common practice to seek out the Alpha of the area and let them know your characters intentions and to learn their laws. While this is entirely optional, not doing so may result in punishment for broken rules and/or hostility on behalf of the pack or the Alpha.
The most common place they can be found, for those with a nose for finding their way, is Roady's, a shack of a bar at the end of a single lane dirt road leading into the forest of Clifton Forge. The bar was originally built and ran by a man named John Preston, who rumors and legends state was the alpha at the time. After the man's untimely passing the business traded hands a few time before eventually being abandoned. It sat empty for several years, but is now opened once again.
The gym seems to be a gathering place for some of the more notable wolves in town, and Inked Tattoo is rumoured to be a haven for wolves, though how true this is remains unclear.
There has also been video circulating the Internet, supposedly having taken place at one of the formal events in Clifton Forge. The video shows a man shooting a dark haired female 4-6 times in the torso after announcing that she was a werewolf to the guests of the event. The video then cuts to the same dark haired female, allegedly later that day, up and walking around. Rumour has it that maybe the accusation made by the man in the video isn't so crazy after all, and that she resides in Clifton Forge, and rules over the territory.

There is one known werewolf sanctuary tucked away in the forest of Clifton Forge. The pack presides over the forest, as evidenced by the scent of other werewolves, one or two scents which are particularly potent as the area has been marked by the presiding alpha's. However, only the pack, or those wolves who are allied with the pack are allowed access to the actual sanctuary itself. The exact location of the werewolf sanctuary is a secret. The forest is free reign to all wolves, but if you are encroaching on pack territory without the alpha's knowledge, you may find yourself in trouble.
Some homes and businesses may have been marked by another wolf as their territory, but is up to you as to whether your character will respect it..or not. Going into a known Vampire den, such as the Sip n' Bite is also possible as it is open to all, but you do so at your own risk. By the same token, you may find witches magicks purportedly capable of keeping you at bay, or even other spiritualities, but let your sense of fair-play dictate this, and work it out with your partner.
𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐬[edit | edit source]
In general, shifting is a very painful process where tissue and flesh is torn asunder, bones cracked and re-melded, and muscles reshaped. Even for the most experienced, the shifting and contortion of bones and muscles is painful, though we do leave it up to you to decide how intense it is for your character. The whole transition takes about 7 seconds, but for most it is the longest 7 seconds they’ll ever experience. After returning to their human form, most are met with fatigue, sore muscles and body aches.
Aside from their human forms werewolves have two others that they can shift into.
Wolf: This shifted form resembles exactly that, a wolf. This form is best for tracking and traveling over large distances, or running side by side with other wolves.
Beast: This is a bipedal form, and the form most typically responsible for inciting terror in accounts of encounters with werewolves in the past. When in this form, all but the most seasoned werewolf finds it difficult to control the rampant bloodlust of the monster within. Here the shifted werewolf is at its strongest and most dangerous, possessing increased height and altered proportions (longer legs and arms, narrow hips, wider shoulders). The face resembles something of a hybrid between demon and wolf, is elongated and has sharp canines. Other lupine traits such as a body covered in hair remain strong in the shifted one, but finger and toenails curve into long hooked talons.
You are free to choose one or both, it is entirely up to you. We do ask that you not use cartoonish or anime styled avatars for your shifted form. If you are unsure if the avatar you’ve selected fits into this category please ask a staff member.
Some suggested avis are:[edit | edit source]
KZK Direwolf avatar from Kinzart Kreetures
We would suggest either the medium or the small (the large is just far too big to be practical here) This avatar works as both a quadruped or bi-ped and has lots of great features. It sells for 2500L for 1 size or 6000L for the fatpack of all 3.
Now good luck, and enjoy your wolfiness, and don't forget to forward any questions to staff members <3
